Sometimes, the po’ po’ needs help. In this case, a good dude name Everardo Navarro provided help to a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer.

The officer was trying to arrest a man who had been messing with the freeway signs. The alleged criminal managed to get the best of the officer. When Navarrao arrived on the scene, he saw the officer down, on the ground, getting choked out.

Navarro’s adrenalin kicked in and then he ran over to the officer and the suspect, and with all his might he threw a mighty blow that hit the suspect’s rib cage. The suspect didn’t move. He didn’t flinch. He just locked in on tighter to the officer’s neck like it was the neck of the man whom he just caught making a baby with his wife.

Seeing that the suspect was bound and determined to put the officer into a forever deep sleep, Navarro begin moving the suspect’s hands from around the officer’s neck. Another person saw what was going on and jumped in and helped Navarro to free the officer from the suspect’s deadly grasp.

Like all crimes, this could have been avoided. All the allege criminal had to do was to stop messing with the freeway signs, like the officer told him to, and then go on about his way. But naw, the alleged criminal had to put more coal on the fire! He jumped the officer from behind and then tried to choke him out. Welp, the “genius” is now facing a slew of charges which include resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.

Off to prison he will go!
